Obituary of Wes Mankoff

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Stanton Wesley Mankoff, affectionately known as "Papa," on January 13, 2025. Born on March 21, 1934, in Denver, Colorado, Wes lived most of his life in the city he loved. He was a man of many talents and skills, helping to start and run the Manor Insurance Agency.

Wes was a devoted family man who cherished his loved ones and his cars, especially his T-Birds. He was the loving partner of Margaret Kehoe and the former husband of Mary (nee Lunnon) Mankoff. Wes was the proud father of Connie (the late David) Suson, Terri (Mike) Striplin, Scott (Leslie Tuggle) Mankoff, and Gary (Ginger Wilson) Mankoff. He was also a beloved grandfather to Michael (Maggie), Matthew (Holly), and Mitchell Mankoff, Rabbi Steve Suson (Julia Vaillant), Jonathan Suson (Kristin), and Adrienne (Joe Moeller). His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren Mara, Daniel, Ella, Miles, Maddox, Max, Marli, and Sydney.

Wes was a truly remarkable man—smart, thoughtful, and endlessly caring. He had a calmness about him that brought peace to those around him and a sense of fun that made every moment brighter. He lived his life with integrity and generosity, always putting others before himself. Wes led by example and was, simply put, a really good man who lived a really good life.

We celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind—the lessons, the laughter, and the love he shared so freely. Wes will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
