Obituary of Charles Kenneth Levitt
Charles Kenneth Levitt, known fondly as “Kenny,” passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that touched all who knew him. Born June 11, 1941, in Miami Beach, Florida, Kenny brought his vibrant spirit to every corner of his life. A long-time resident of Colorado Springs, Kenny was a cherished member of the community.
Kenny’s genuine kindness and warmth made him beloved by all who crossed his path. He found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, particularly in taking long, peaceful walks, a pastime that reflected his thoughtful and gentle nature.
Kenny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen, whom he loved deeply. He is survived by his two devoted sons Eric and Randy (Bari), and his two adoring grandchildren, Annie and Ethan, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Kenny’s life was one of quiet strength, and a deep appreciation for the people and world around him. He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
A funeral service will be held Thursday January 16th at 12:00PM at Sons of Israel Cemetery, located within Evergreen Cemetery at 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
In honor of Kenny’s memory, the family invites those who knew him to take a moment to enjoy a walk outdoors and reflect on the beauty of life, just as he so often did.
