Obituary of Libby Kane

A Denver native passed away Friday September 7 2007. Born June 2 1917 to Louis and Anna Butler Libby was the beloved wife of Ruben Kane for 61 years. Libby was the mother of Barbara (Gil) Hutchens and Art (Anne) Kane. Grandmother of Debra Marco and Carlo Balucani and Great Grandmother of Giulia Leonardo and Federico. Libby had five siblings who preceeded her in death two sisters Lillian (Harry) Hoffman Irene (Arthur) Dominus and three brothers. Al (Ria) Butler Sam (Betty) Butler and Joseph Butler. In her life Libby was the loving Aunt of Nona Feiner Sheila Bialek Howard Hoffman Joie Reavis Marc Dominus Greg Butler Cindi Fink Valerie Kaplan Beth Wolfe Joel Butler Diane Cohen Linda Cohen Bob Kane and Larry Kane with several beloved Great nieces and nephews. Libby lived the principals of her first club the Vim Vigor and Vitality Girls. She always had a smile for everyone and is remembered for her compassion and care for others. Exercise and a healthy diet guided her life. She enjoyed walking the halls at Heather Gardens where she lived with her husband Ruben for many years. She participated fully in the rich religious and cultural life of the Denver Jewish Community. She loved listening to every type of music and she loved to dance. Libby was a graduate of East High and worked for several years as a Secretary. The Service and Internment for Libby will be held Graveside at Rose Hill Cemetery Sunday 1pm.
