Obituary of Beverly Oringel

Beverly Feinberg Oringel 79 formerly of Bowie and Annapolis Maryland died at her home in Aurora on Sunday August 19th after a lenghty illness. Born in 1928 in Brooklyn NY to Julius and Mary Feinberg she was an honor student who worked as an executive secretary in the Empire State Building until her marriage to Robert Bob Oringel in 1947. After foloowing Bob to several jobs in the radio and broadcasting industry she settled with him in suburban Washington D.C. in 1954. When her daughters were in junior and senior high Beverly fulfilled her lifetime dream by going to college and becoming a high school history teacher for 17 years. She and Bob traveled throughout the world in their retirement years before moving to Colorado. Beverly wa a no-nonsense woman of uncommon courage quick wit and strong opions one who influenced generations of students as well as everyone who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents and by her husband Bob who died two years and two days previously on August 17 2005. She leaves behind her daughters Susan Oringel of Albany NY and Patti (Greg) Shank of Aurora two grandchildren Jessica (Wayne) Precht of Laurel MD and Andrew Shank of Aurora and two step-greatgrandchildren Marcus and Joey Precht of Laurel. Funeral services will be held at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday August 21st at 1000a.m. at staging Area C. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the Denver Hospice 501 S. cherry St. Suite 700 Denver CO 80246-1328.
