Irwin Matus lead a life that he did not fully understand. On the one hand, he considered himself a very ordinary guy without special traits. But on the other hand he lived a remarkably adventurous life that included working in hard rock mines, traveling to exotic places like the Phillippine Islands where he lived for several years. He pursued consecutively two careers as a geologist, then as a clinical psychologist. Despite the fact he did not consider himself to have any obvious talent, he wrote music, a book, stories, poems, and earned a PHD in Psychology. Above all, his greatest achievement involved life as a husband, father, and uncle. And, if he has a legacy, that is the one he would choose.
