Obituary of Barbara Ann Arkin

Barbara Ann Arkin; a legend in her own time. Barb was renowned in the Arabian and Half Arabian industry, serving as a stalwart fixture for decades. She was a hard worker and was determined in her quest to provide opportunities for all to show their beautiful Arabian horses. She was an all inspiring, rigorous teacher, who was rather influential with her students. Barb received the CHJA Lifetime Achievement Award for 2016; the only Arabian person ever given that honor. In her no-nonsense way, she always acted with compassion and a heart of gold, fiercely protecting those she loved, be them human, horse, or dog. Barb touched the lives of many.
