I was fortunate to meet Bobette because the Loma Prieta earthquake in October of 1989, in Aptos California, damaged the
interior of her home. She hired me to do a mini remodel. We hit it off from the start. I felt such an honor to be included in her
life. What a powerhouse! She was at her best as a “good listener” with a caring, compassionate nature that never waned.
When she moved to Colorado I lost touch with her, but was able to connect again when she and Mr. Robinson were in San Francisco for a visit. Bobette was one of a kind, and I will never forget her strengths. Blessed are those touched by her life!

I met Bobette a few years ago, while learning to play Mah Jongg. She was so kind and always encouraging. She was such a force of life in a tiny little package. Beautiful inside and out. I loved her sense of style and her love of art. She will be missed. Have fun in heaven. I know you will be a beautiful angel. Love, Susan

I loved her very much. She was always a joy to be around. She always had a smile on her face. She never complained no matter what was going on. She is an inspiration to me. I miss her already. Thursdays will never be the same without her.

Bobbette was an artist of life. She explored every relationship and lived vertically. She may have lived until 87, but if we carefully review her life, you will discover it was years longer in real living. Look, if you will at her career in dying peoples hair. Without any training, and bold, if it didn’t work, I was able to find her house in Chicago on a warm day when the neighbors were out, and she was doing blond.
Whatever she was doing, it was always in technicolor and 3D, and if she ever met you for a moment, you remained in her genealogical files forever.
She brought life to life. She had a great laugh. She kept the memories of things you shared with her alive forever, and shared it with you, like it or not. But let me say this, I sometimes moaned but I treasured every moment.
We lived next door on Stuart Street. Our kitchen windows were opposite to each other, and our lives were intertwined. We were double second cousins. Our Stellor Grandfathers were brothers, and our Stellor Grandmothers were sisters.
We share a thousand memories which are running through my head. I am her children’s Uncle Howard, by personal declaration. And like many of you I celebrate her life and mourn her death. But I promise you there is more to come.
When this current plague lifts, we will gather in Denver in some small large venue, and each of you who comes will get a chance to share. Her kids, cousins, friends will remember each one and all together what her life meant to each of us.
It will be big.
With my love,
One of Bobbette’s most devoted fans,
Howard and Judy Karsh

I can not express the depth of my sadness at learning this news. The world has lost an incredible woman. I have known Bobette my entire life. I turned to her for advice many times. And it was always good advice. My mom, Gerry, loved her very much. My condolences to your entire family. May her memory forever be a blessing.
