I had the opportunity to work for Rob for almost 10 years. He taught me so much and allowed me to grow in my knowledge of the envelope industry. His boys were small and had grown to strong men when I retired from the second time with Rob's companies. My deepest sympathies to Mary, his sons and family. He is loved.

We came into Rob and Mary’s life several years ago on a cruise. There were no other tables available during breakfast and I asked if we could join them. Three hours later we were still talking and realized we had met two people that felt like forever friends. Even though we lived in California, we saw each other on one cruse after another. They joined us in Lake Tahoe several times and all we did was laugh and share great meals and long, long stories of our lives. During those years we felt like we had known each other all our lives. We spoke several times a week and couldn’t wait to see each other again. Mary was Robs other half. She was loving, considerate, kind and always thoughtful of how Rob was feeling. She cared for him with everything in her and made sure he was comfortable and taken care of in the most loving, compassionate way. We had not known Rob before his illness but nothing would stop him from having the best life possible. This was in large part, to the love and support given to him by Mary. She put his needs before anything. He was madly and deeply in love with her. Some of our most fond memories were spent with Rob and Mary. Rob always knew how to make us enjoy each day. I leaned a lot on both of them during last year when my husband was ill. They were never too busy to help me through my most difficult year. It’s a love and closeness that cannot be found very often. I will treasure the times we had together the rest of my life. I hope his friends and family know without Mary’s love and support, Rob would not have had the most memorable last few years of happiness. He treasured her, and she him. I’ll miss our long talks about travel, politics, family, food and life in general. We shared so much in such a small amount of time, yet it felt like a lifetime. I’m a better person knowing the deep friendship we made with Rob and Mary. To those of you that live close to Mary, continue to give her the love and support she will need and that Rob would have wanted her to have. The large hole in her heart cannot be filled by Robs absence, but with your caring, it will be easier to bear. Rob, my dear friend, you will be greatly missed and thought of often. And, rest assured, Mary will always be in my life. Rest In Peace and know we loved you dearly

Rob was a very special person he had a zest for adventure like no other. Rob also had a side he kept private from most. Knowing Rob for 56 years and working for him 45 years we were more like brothers than like a boss employee relationship. The side many of you may not know about him .Rob was very giving to people in real need of help not ever wanting thanked for the help but so happy to do what he could to improve their life. Rest in peace .

I’ll never forget all the warm summer evenings spent with Rob, family, friends, good eats and even better wine. Rob had a profound impact on so many people and I’m thankful to count myself among them. I’ll forever cherish our time together as a family. <3

Whether is was cycling, skiing, photography, telling jokes, attending Bronco games, going to auto shows, traveling on cruises, cooking steaks & burgers on the grille, or debating current events, whatever interests or pastimes I shared with Rob it always seemed like he stayed one step ahead of me. His love of life and the way he would never lead by lecture, but only by example, will stay with me the rest of my days. His kind, gentle, and fun loving soul will be sorely missed.

Decades of fabulous memories and way too many photos to share but one stands out to me as profound. Zach’s wedding at the moment Emily starts down the aisle. Zach looking suitably nervous. Rob looking adoringly at the bride. But mostly I was enraptured with how Mary was consumed by experiencing Rob’s joy in that moment. It’s a moment and a day I’ll never forget.
