I'm grateful for Scott's friendship while working at Akerman. While he had to work remote most of time, would stay in touch with me in the office.

Dear Barb. We were sorry to hear about Scott’s passing. We’ll miss him at the pool. He was always so fun to share stories with and the first one to come over and say hi at any function at the pool. Our hearts and love go out to you. Hope to see you this summer. Xo

To all the Hailpern family, but especially Barb, I can't tell you how hard it was to learn of Scotty's passing. Barb, the time I spent with you and Scott talking at the pool are some of the most precious times of my life. Scott was truly the kindest, calmest, most compassionate soul I've ever met - he was always so nice to my daughter Casey. Scott and I would talk Virginia Vale shop, where he had been recently, and yes, how the Broncos and my Bears just couldn't get it right! - I always enjoyed catching up with him. I moved away from the Denver area so won't be back for the service, but I will say a big prayer for my VV buddy and remember all the laughs we had together. Gods speed Scott Hailpern. All my love Barb.

Im so very sad to hear this news, Scott was so kind and cheerful and always willing to lend a helping hand. He always had a laugh and a joke for me and consistently kept my spirits up when I was down, even after I moved across the country. Scott will be sorely missed. RIP my friend you were so loved!

I am so sorry to hear about Scott's passing. Scott was the kindest man there was, who continued to always support me and stay in touch and always seemed to know when I needed a bit of a pick me up. He was full of laughs, updates and positive attitude and even when it was he who needed the upbeat encouragement you never knew it. I will miss our frequent chats and updates and I am so sorry I didn't know you were not doing well. We often chatted about Cancer being the beast. Rest in peace my friend, I am glad you do not have to fight anymore. All the car shows, bowling and Broncos will miss your infectious spirit but I know how much your mom and family will miss you more. I am sorry to see you go this soon and as we always said...Cancer is a fucker.

Dear Hailpern Family -
I did not have the honor or good fortune to know Scott personally - but know of his special soul through his sister, Traci. If Scott was anything like Traci (who is a sweet, dear, and valued friend), the world is considerably less bright today with his passing. I hope that your time of grief is quickly replaced by the warm feelings and memories of having been touched by Scott during his short time on this earth.
Sincerest condolences.

To the Hailpern Family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Scott Hailpern.
He is one of the best of humanity. That great big smile will be missed!
Scott loved his community and was a huge George Washington High School alumni. Prior to Covid, he would meet with several alums from GW 87 for lunch. Nothing fancy or organized - just needed to near a big box store. After lunch, we would gather at the front of the store and give each other 10 – 15 minutes to create a costume/look. We would then take silly photos in the back of the store. Didn’t matter if it was Easter, Christmas or just an ordinary Saturday – Scott was the first one ready for his close up!
In all, I think he missed just one lunch as he never wanted to miss a moment to hang with his beloved classmates.
Outside of the lunches, spending time goofing off in class from elementary to high school, my fondest memory of Scott was at our 30th Class Reunion. The atmosphere was charged and some song started to play. I think it was one of his favorites. I cant remember what it was but the next thing I knew, Scott was pulling me on the dance floor and we were getting down!!!! I mean burning a rug!
Oh don’t misunderstand me – Scott COULD NOT dance! But, what he lacked for in rhythm, he more than made up for in his kind heart and gentleness. A true gentleman!
I’ll close by saying this, Scott never once forgot to say Happy Birthday, Happy Holiday, how are you doing, or I love you! His legacy will not be forgotten as long as we continue to wish each other well, say that we love each other and Dance like we can!
I am going to miss those socks and shorts combo and that big smile!
Sending my love, thoughts, prayers and condolences. Love Monique DeBouse Berry and the entire George Washington High School class of 1987!

My heart is so heavy, but I am so thankful for the friendship that endured for our entire lives. I will miss our weekly long phone calls, all of your updates on everything, and your "hey bud" greetings so much. I am so thankful for our last visit at the hospital in late December that we got to sit and talk for a few hours. So many people will share memories of your humor, kindness, laughter, quirky grin. You cared so much for so many, and your heart was as big as the sun. My heart is with Traci, Barbara, and all his extended family and friends. You will be so missed!
