I just heard of Aaron's passing. I am so sorry to hear as I've often thought of picking up the phone to just say hi. I knew him through his mother Marcie and AA. He was a wonderful person and I talked to him when it was difficult taking care of his mother like a lot of us, but it was also an act of pure love. He had a gentle spirit and a big heart.

I'm so sad to hear of Aaron's passing. He was such a good friend to me in grade school when I was being bullied, and came to my rescue with a glass of water when I started coughing during my Bas Mitzvah! May his memory be a blessing.

Aaron was a warm guy to be around and shined with bright light. Most of the time I spent with Aaron was in the steam room at the JCC where he shared his philosophy of life and we connected on our passion for playing music together. I still hear Aaron's voice when I go to the JCC and hope he is at peace. I have appreciated having such a loving and kind person as a friend and I will miss him dearly.

Me and Al and Aaron had an Amazing conversation about music during which Aaron told us about all of the incredible things he did and orchestras he played with. He will always be remembered as a unique, wonderful individual

Aaron was a kind, thoughtful man who was loved by everyone at the JCC. He was always quick to give you a warm smile & ask how your day was going. The last time I saw Aaron, we talked about the importance of Community at the JCC. On my way out he said, "I'm glad you're here, man."
Aaron, I'm glad we crossed paths, my friend. I'll miss your company. May you rest in peace.

I will miss conversations with Aaron about the lessons of the garden and the mysteries of the world. I will never forget his love for growing Hubbard squashes and how he special ordered 20ft sunflowers seeds for the JCC preschool.
Once, on a Friday afternoon, I gave Aaron a Challah in the JCC locker room; he invited everybody in the locker room to break bread and join us in ha'motzi. Such a beautiful memory and a perfect example of how Aaron could evoke community and sanctity in an ordinary moment.
May his memory be for a blessing.

I have never seen a more humble and caring individual than when I watched Aaron take care of his mom in her final years of life. He was a Mench, and did it all with dignity and a smile. May his memory be an inspiration to us all to take care of one another the way he took care of his mom…. His presence will be greatly missed!

Aaron was a mensch, and had as kind of a heart as anyone I know. I saw him most every night as he would enter the JCC.... He'd kiss the Mezuzah on the doorpost, drop a coin in the Tzadakah box and would thank me and the security guard for just being there. Upon leaving, he would ask if we wanted some ginger snaps or something yummy. He always felt better after his workouts and steam. He loved the steam. He loved the shvitz. He loved the JCC and the community there. We all loved him, He will be greatly missed; this is a fact.
I will remember Aaron now every time I enter the JCC by kissing the Mezuzah on the doorpost. I will drop a coin in the Tzadakah box and will thank my colleagues for being there. I will do this for Aaron and in his memory. He was a nice friend. May you rest in peace, dear Aaron.

Aaron was there for me when I was going through a loss of a loved one. We bonded over our past experiences and became friends. I would look up to Aaron as a mentor and am deeply touched by this loss.

Aaron was able to make all who knew him feel like a friend. The last time I saw him at the JCC, just a few days ago, he had just made friends with a middle schooler he began telling him of a girl he was having trouble with after making a bad choice. He listened carefully and offered advice.
He was the same with my son Danny. He convinced Danny to be in charge of recording Aaron’s book signing at the JCC. This job was accomplished successfully and boosted Danny’s self esteem. It was 4 days beofre Danny died. Aaron sent us this foto, the last one of Danny.
Aaron and I discussed many times where we were in grieving for our lost loved ones. He understood grief and made it so much easier to talk about. He had such a big heart!
I will miss him and his gingersnap cookies!
May your memory be a blessing
