Obituary of Dr. Michael Goldfogel

Michael Goldfogel, DDS, of Englewood, Colorado passed away on January 10, 2025. He was 74 years old.

Born on June 4, 1950, Michael grew up in Denver, Colorado, and graduated from George Washington High School, University of Colorado, and Northwestern University School of Dentistry in Chicago. 

Dr. Goldfogel built and maintained a long-standing dental practice, excelling in cosmetic dentistry. He left an incredible mark on his field, and developed numerous widely used dental products and instruments, some of which are named after him. He took immense pride in passing along his skills to dental students and hygienists, and dedicated his time to lecturing and teaching at top academic programs across the country and internationally.

He was strongly devoted to his close family and passionate about helping others. His reliability, unmatched intelligence, drive, and generosity were among his countless admirable qualities. 

Dr. Goldfogel loved golfing and watching sports, including his favorite Colorado teams - often watching three games at the same time on different devices. 

He is survived by his exceptional and loving wife of 49 years, Denise, their daughter Ilana, and her husband Jonathan Nikravesh, their son Brian, and his wife Jari Greenbaum. He was the proud grandfather of Nava (7) who he truly cherished and adored. He also leaves behind his brother Jeffrey Goldfogel and his caring wife, along with their children, and grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed.

His graveside service will take place at 11am, Monday, January 13, 2025 at Mount Nebo Cemetery, and the family will accept visitors that evening from 4:00-7:00pm. Please contact Dr. Goldfogel’s nephew Seth at (303) 521-8711 for more details on that gathering.
